So I can't beat this urge.. I must do it. Seeing @KikisGirls and some others new and soon to be homemade incubators have pushed me to do the one I've always wanted! A Deep Freezer incubator! Sadly my relatives deep freezer just went out, but before I could move it to my house in a couple hours, some one stole it out of their front yard off their porch! So now is even badder news.. I'm going crazy! I almost bought a brand new deep freezer just to turn it into a incubator! I'm going to haunt CL for a while!

I'm sorry they stole your project... hopefully you find a free one today.

Like most .. I've been following along with this saga. I've been retelling it to DD who now asks for daily updates. Luckily it's slow at work .. ha .. can't wait for tomorrow @KikisGirls. Was reeaaallllly hoping "The Man" would call you today

Upright Freezer if I can find one lol !

Our full-size upright died last year .. I may or may not have procrastinated on de-icing it and may or may not have stabbed one of the coils with an ice pick.
So it's been sitting and taking up space in the laundry room cause we've been procrastinating about hauling it off .. I'm seeing a theme here. Anyway, I was talking to hubs about including it in an upcoming scrap run. I jokingly (kinda, not really) said we could turn it into a giant bator. Would you know that man didn't hesitate when he said, "We could do that."

This morning when I asked my DD if we should get more ducks my DH pipes up and just says "no"
I only have 2 so definitely need a few more just in case something happens to one of them. I mean its just common sense right!

Is it Thursday yet???!!!

Does the Abuela incubator have a thermostat or just balanced between heat input and air flow to keep a constant temperature assuming the room is fairly constant temperature?

Have you totally abandoned the original ghetto bator experiment? You have proved it is possible. Did the thermostat provide constant temperature?

I am still concerned that you will sleep through the night and not be up every 15 minutes checking on the new balutties. Sleep deprived Kiki writes some interesting posts.

If I buy some hatching eggs, will you hatch them? I couldn't, I mean, with the forever pregnant dog we have. I really don't think she was as far along as Crazy Lady thinks.

Puppy update - nothing new. Momma still pregnant...

I thought the dog would have just exploded by now and it would be raining puppies! When labor really comes you should start a new thread on BYC so we can all follow along.

Absolute sense!! If something happens to one, it would be detrimental to the lonely baby. You must get at least two more.
