➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

The right shoes make ALL the difference. I spend a pile of money on sneakers because I know what works for me and it's (unfortunately) not cheap. Sometimes I get lucky and find a good sale. I buy more than one pair when that happens.

I figured out a few years ago that Salomon uses the last that suits me best. I can wear Asics too and those are actually stocked at the local stores but their colors often make me cringe. Very masculine for the neutrals and when they think female, they head straight to the early 80s for their palette. Salomon has some wild combos but they aren't all clown vomit so I tend to end up with their less crazy options.

I had to try on a crap ton of shoes to figure this out. Also, to discover that popularity doesn't mean jack if your feet aren't typical. Brooks, Nike, Sketchers, Mizuno, and New Balance don't work for me. At all. Not even the ones my friends swore were the best shoes ever...

Amazon has a lot of free returns items and thank goodness for that! I have tried on a lot of stuff that isn't sold locally this way. And, they actually have some good deals on last year's colors when the new stuff rolls out!
I just bought some Dr. Scholls freestep sneakers. I have no idea what works for my feet because I’ve never ventured outside of toms and converse.

On another note.. I HATE spending money on myself. Why can I drop $50 on the dogs without blinking, but I need a freaking sign from God to spend that much on sneakers?
(the sign from God was frantically stuffing my toms with dog toy fluff at 7am this morning, praying hubby wouldn’t walk through and catch me... no comment)
You are one smart cookie Tessie.
:love
Yes. The wisest and smartest cookie. That’s me.
Also I know some of the stuff on my new list seems stupid to include and/or is stuff I do anyway but I’m addicted to checking boxes now so I included extra boxes. :lau
Hey, nothing wrong with that.
When I have bad days I make lists of every step of my day. It’s a coping mechanism.. if it looks stupid but it works, then it ain’t stupid.

You could make cottage cheese popsicles.
That texture wouldn't be pleasant frozen. Like licking a popcorn ceiling.

What's in the kitchen that is both easy and nutritious? Have you tried the meal replacement shakes? I think getting your nutrition on a better path might help. I'd feel like crap if I ate like that, too.

I don't like shakes like that :tongue

God just told me to tell you to buy some good sneakers, screw the price tag. I might be paraphrasing.
