Oh I know. I meant that’s how a lot of the general public receives it.@Tesumph here heartworms are not an invisible killer. They are just about guaranteed if a dog isn't on prevention. Inside or outside.
Part of my spiel at the vaccine clinic was to show the heart from a dog that died from heartworms (we had one preserved in a jar) to try and show just how NOT invisible they are. Even after seeing hundreds of wiggly worms packed into that jar and explaining that it will KILL YOUR DOG, I’d still be accused of trying to pull a fast one on them and make a quick buck.
Like, okay dude, I make minimum wage and I’m trying to save you thousands of dollars in treatment, but go off I guess.
I hated that job.
