➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I'm sorry your second eggs weren't a success. Maybe being younger made them less tolerant of cooling. I think it's pretty amazing your first ones survived to begin with. If the goal was to keep them live for customers, they wouldn't be left on the counter. Yet, I personally would rather eat one cooked fresh than previously deceased. If they arrive on Thursday, do you know how long they're left out, perhaps just through the weekend?
I also think that maybe these new eggs being younger has something to do with how long they can tolerate the cold. I think the eggs stay on the counter until they sell out.

3rd experiment is over.

These eggs were not alive to begin with. I'm going to make a pass to visit the other Asian store to see if they sell balut today,

I will be visiting The Man again next Thursday.

Yes it does have one...I haven't even opened that box...it says not for duck eggs.
I'm using an egg turner for my duck eggs. Duck eggs are just a little taller than a chicken egg. I place the eggs in areas away from the fan motor and where they are not directly under the heating element.
With just a few eggs, I would simple place them in a half egg carton and put a 1 X .5 inch X 6 inch thick piece of wood under one end of the carton. Move it twice a day to the other end.
If you put the egg turner in your incubator, watch the temperature. The little motor on the turner can affect the temperature by 1 or 2 degrees. You would need to make an adjustment for that.
