We buy it from Louisiana.I love alligators. They’re such cool animals and I think kinda misunderstood. They’re illegal here though. Probably for good reason. I don’t think I’d ever want one for a pet. They definitely can be dangerous but they’re cool animals.
they say everything tastes like chicken lol
It’s supposed to be really good! My parents apparently ate it all the time when they lived in Florida lol or at least my dad did.
Is it common in Texas? I imagine it’s kind of expensive?
I can see why he’d like alligator... it’s unique, different. I imagine most birds taste pretty similar?? Maybe not.
Thanks again! Very helpful.
And yeah, that’s what I’m afraid of!!
I’m glad I didn’t go out and buy one when I wanted to whenever that was recently cause I had no idea this was a thing.
Which is weird cause I’ve done a fair amount of research and watched a lot of videos, etc. but never seen it mentioned before. Even in that reptile guy’s videos.
That said, I did just find this article but I had to Google hibernation or something specific like that to find it, I don’t think it would have popped up in just regular searches for info/care.
Anyway, do you agree with it?

I'm not sure I have even seen it sold any where near me.
