➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

my oral surgeon sends me a gift card every christmas to the newest fad in restaurants......this year i got popcorn:gig

:lau :gig :lau OMG

I've never had salmonella from cleaning eggs or touching my chickens. I know most chickens have it.

Today my chicken did a trick... When I put my arm out she flew onto it and rode on me while I did the farm chores. I had to be careful not to clothesline her on the fishing line :lau

I was nervous Squatch might get pissed that she was doing this, but he was good. His brother Sid would've tried to attack me so she would fly down. Squatch got about 5 inches from me today, but wasn't aggressive. Almost looked like he wanted to fly on me too. That might be a bit scary at first :gighes pretty big!

:lau :gig :lau that’s awesome!!!

Top pic is my favorite! Looks like ET when he stretches his neck out

Ellliiioootttt

:lau :gig :lau

i never dreamed that it would be possibility here either, but we all ate the same stuff and only differences was that i did the bird stuff including cleaning 17 dozen quail eggs......dh thinks that i got it from taking a break without washing my hands......sounds possible to me......

That's definitely a possibility. I always use hand sanitizer or antibacterial soap after contact with the bird or eggs. I may forget sometimes though  Honestly my meds make me feel like I have salmonella all the time anyways so I probably wouldn't even notice :lau

Definitely seems like a possibility!!

Though I’m a bit obsessive with hand washing and always wash them lol wash them like a million times a day anyway. :lau

I decided I'm buying the Kindle Paperwhite. I've read 2 books a week for almost 3 months, I think it'll be worth the money to me. The Kindle fire I have is killing my wrist, feel like it's giving me arthritis or something.

You definitely should. If you read that much, that can’t be good for your wrist aha

Although I’m pretty sure I have carpal tunnel or something from my phone. :lau

fortunately i have the strongest immune system in our household.....mom is the worst one to be sick (or show it when she is) I probably wouldn’t have even let anyone know if i wasn’t on “vacation” but tonight i’m fine so whatever it was must’ve run its course or i just really wanted my beer!!!:gig

:lau :gig :lau

I think I have a pretty crap immune system lol

And my dad is a huge baby whenever he gets sick even if he’s barely sick. :lau

i switched to audible.......i “listen” to my books now as it doesn’t annoy dh for me to read in bed

I don’t like listening to books. I’m much more a visual person and like following along/seeing it myself which defeats the purpose of listening lol plus sometimes they annoy me by going slower than I read :lau

And also sometimes I can get confused/not be able to follow if I just listen and don’t actually see it especially on more complicated books haha

I don’t like digital books though. Oddly, reading on a screen bothers/annoys me even though I’m on screens all the time lol

I like physical books. That’s the one thing I still like.

Though I don’t really read at all anymore anyway. :lau

Some night I read until midnight or 2 am. I lose track of time when I read.

I was reading an author who writes novellas and didn't like how short they were. I'm more into 50+ chapters

I do too! But I don’t really read anymore lol but I always lose track of time if it’s really good.

But OMG!! 50 chapters!? :th

And you read two of those a week!? And all on the kindle!? :th

i’m a big james patterson fan.....ive read or listened to nearly every release he’s had and of course i’ve read/listened to every audrey carlan and the fifty shades series.....

My brothers like Patterson.

i actually own many if not most of his books in either paperback or hard copy....but they are all in a tote currently since our house flooded in 2014.....

That’s awful. :( do they think it was the same people?
I haven't heard, but probably. The town 40 mins away was hit s few days before the one near here.

Thankfully Canada Post got their insurance etc involved right away and people have been refunded or credited for their purchases.

If someone was to rob a post office, this is definitely the right time of year to do it.
