Yeah. I only read at night before bed. I usually read about 2-3 hours every night. I probably could finish a book in a whole day.

I'm reading The Last Thing She Ever Saw by Gregg Olsen. I'm on chapter 45. I started it yesterday at 2 am when I randomly woke up. I read for an hour or so then read another hour yesterday afternoon. The rest was read before I went to bed. Now I'm up again so I'm going to start reading again until I pass out lol

Driving to Lubbock in the morning for Christmas with hubby’s grandparents.. 7 hour car ride with the dog.
I’m kind of dreading it. The car ride, I mean.
I have horrible motion sickness and can’t read, write, or draw while in the car. Considering downloading audible and getting my one free book or whatever.

I can't do anything in the car either besides sit there. Audible would be great for a long car ride.

Better on bear rugs? I thought so too, but these aren't paper trained and bear rugs are hard to clean.

I haven't heard, but probably. The town 40 mins away was hit s few days before the one near here.

Thankfully Canada Post got their insurance etc involved right away and people have been refunded or credited for their purchases.

If someone was to rob a post office, this is definitely the right time of year to do it.

That really sucks.

Glad they got refunded though but that probably doesn’t matter much to them. So many people will be without presents.

Motion sickness sucks!! Thankfully I don’t usually get motion sick BUT if I’m sitting in the backseat I will. I have to be up front or driving or else I’ll get it. And if I make the mistake of trying to use/read stuff on my phone then I’ll also get it. It definitely sucks.

Thankfully though it’s mostly only on longer trips. I don’t get sick on shorter trips.

Although one time I got really sick and threw up only like an hour or two into a 9-10 hour trip. but that trip was really long/slow/the trip that took forever haha took us like 4 or 5 hours to go 2 hours.

Finally have my little tree decorated. Will wrap some tiny boxes to decorate under the tree. Still have the stockings to hang and the mantle to decorate with pine tree cuttings.

Would anyone else be tempted to tickle his little belly?

Any box will become a toy.


We are having an egg roll dinner with hubby's siblings Christmas Eve. SIL and I are prepping the mix to go inside. Then we will deep fry them as the other women roll them. Even have a mix for the vegetarians.
Resting Christmas day.
Then having our girls and their families on Sunday Dec. 29. That will be Taco buffet with all the fixings including potatoes for microwave baking to top with the taco fixings. Plenty of desserts for the kiddos.

Then after Christmas the packing begins, the move to the rent house and demo of the rooms for the re-model.
