➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I remember that. She was being a prude :lau and could be! My BR laid cream type eggs. :) I think people are maybe just misinterpreting and thinking of cream as like off white? Like a white layer? Cause there are cream laying breeds I think. But really it’s a shade of brown. Just very light brown in your case. Which is most definitely possible. My BR laid cream and I have another chicken laying cream. My Delaware is laying more darkish/reddish brown with spots but it depends.

And hm interesting! Have you had white layers before? What’s the mix? Very odd. I think if you look at their earlobes you may be able to tell which one it is but I don’t know if that works for mixed breeds. But usually if it’s white they lay white and if it’s red they lay brown
Only white layer I should have is my polish. I do know my ducks are laying becayse we found monster eggs on the coop floor.

My red sex links lay a darker brown egg. I hate candling their eggs so I stopped incubating them 😂

Yeah my Delaware layer darker too but they are all different and cream is also totally possible. :) and :lau oh boy! I can imagine. Thankfully all mine mostly lay really light colors. :D light shades of brown/almost cream or pink, white, even the green and blue and pretty light colored so it’s easy for me haha the Delaware is darker but that’s okay lol

She's about 8 months old so it could be her. I've never seen her lay an egg. She's crazy so I try not to chase her around 😂

:lau my pullets didn’t start till like 9 months old so it’s possible! Lol the leghorn started like September or October I think or the Delaware was October but the other 3 slackers literally didn’t start until last month :lau :th

I put some of the little white eggs in my bator to see if they're fertile and see if I can figure out who laid it.
