Colloquially called a Dutchman's Pipe. Also called a "Calico" flower. Technically an Aristolochia....three versions...Elegans, Littoralis or tomentosa. You can buy seeds on Amazon.

I actually got two of them. They came with the Praying Mantis egg cases.

I collect the egg cases from around my yard and farm and relocate them to my veggie garden in the spring.
I also move any wheel bug to the garden. These are great predators too. They do bite so I wear gloves.

The Purple Mustard is blooming.

Is this a form of fly catcher plant...looking at the jelly prickles...like a Venus fly trap?

No, it is a member of the mustard family. The blooms are tiny with the whole diameter of maybe 1/4" to 3/8".

Aww. I went down memory lane and found Triumph's momma's registration online.

In other news...
7 healthy and HUGE puppies. Look at these chonkers. Poor momma did so well and was thankfully able to deliver naturally.

I know.. I think I'm 4th on the waiting list and there's only 3 boys. I'm waiting for the breeder to get back to me about it and trying to convince myself that I'd be okay with a girl.

I may be in trouble. Thirty-nine turkey eggs and 23 chicken eggs moved to the hatcher this evening. At least 4 of the turkey eggs are internally pipped and quite a few more are very close to being internally pipped.

None of the chicken eggs are internally pipped. One is very close. These chicken eggs tend to take 22 days to hatch instead of 21.
