➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

The past few weeks have been tough.

Sister in law has been diagnosed with in-operable pancreatic cancer. Her husband is my hubby's brother who has a share of our cattle business. He has been spending his days at the hospital and now caring for her at home. Chemo was to begin on Monday, but she was rushed to the hospital today with a high temperature from an infection.

In his absence, I've been helping hubby with the cows and hauling our hay bales to the farm as well as tending to the home, the remodel, my chickens and the garden. With three vehicles in the shop this had been a challenge.

My longtime chicken breeder/BYC friend from whom I purchased my line of Columbian Wyandotte lost his 46 year old always healthy wife to three massive heart attacks leading to organ failure and amputation of her right leg and left foot.

We have another friend who runs cows on the farm behind us. We check on his cows on the days he doesn't drive in to check his herd. Thursday he needed help banding 4 young bulls so we helped. Today he called to inform us Friday he was tested for Covid. His results were positive.
Hubby is immune compromised so I will call our doctor on Monday.

My faith is being tested. Kindly keep us in your prayers.

@FortCluck You have had plenty of time to taste your home grown tomatoes. What is the verdict? Do you have the "I don't like fresh tomatoes" gene or was your dislike due to the disgusting taste of store bought tomatoes?
I’m eating raw tomatoes! I ask for them in sandwiches and salads now too. But usually I only eat Publix subs which uses our local farm tomatoes in their sandwiches. Store bought tomatoes are nasty.

I just dehydrated 30 lbs of tomatoes to make tomato chips 😂 I’m obsessed
