➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I think you are going to get lucky.
;)
I think so too! All hens! You had me worried there for just an instance! I am hoping for a white hen that lays blue eggs though. How awesome would that be?

I'm kinda wishing I'd snagged those Australorps. But glad they went to a good home.

@alexa009 I couldn't believe it myself. It was unbelievable. And still is. We have some small birds hanging around the garden and brush pile, but laying an egg on a sunflower head is out there.

Post pics again next week this time.

Yellow just looks yellow. Same basic shape and posture with cheek puffs.
Legs appear the same.
Posture is same. Not taller. They all take turns standing erect, then going normal.

I read in one thread the red on the breast is a tattletale too. Rednecks, but none on the breasts.

Red in the shoulders is male.

OK, we are good. Red on the necks only. For now.
A pic is worth 1 thou... even if it's not a very good one, my EE cockerel Kebechet 'just call me Chet' center top with his juvenile harem. I can't find the good pics!:hit

eta this is in his new home on the farm. Roosters are not allowed where I live. I would not be feeding that bread, but they will all be free ranging very soon.

You sure that’s a quail egg? Some birds don’t build nests and lay in the open, “scrape nests.” Just wondering
It's a quail egg!
He wants quail.

(even it it is not we can pretend it is so we can trick him into building a bator and hatching it)
Shhh.

This is my EE hen Nefertiti, RIP. She was so pretty, like yours.
