➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

@Morrigan exactly. I would LOVE to hatch some ducklings, but then I'd have to take them all to a swap or something and hope I can get rid of them all in one day. I've never done this before and don't know how realistic that is.

I've never tried to hatch and sell either. If I know me, I'd be worried about what type of "home" they were going to. Or, I'd be worried that someone would buy a chicken, and then complain to me about how their flock got sick/got mites/what have you. If I'm ever lucky enough to have excess broodies again, I'm going to search out meat chicken eggs and let them hatch out dinner for me.

I put an ad on craigslist just to gauge interest and if someone contacts me I will hatch specifically for them, their eggs or mine, so I will have a home lined up before setting eggs. I don't think I will take a chance at selling at a swap this year.

So far I had one reply that said "I would like 2-3 females but will not take another drake." Wouldn't it be wonderful if somehow we could set female only eggs
