@biophiliac you’re making me rethink pigeons.

I think I've talk my husband into homing pigeons. :yesss:

They are pretty easy to care for but are so fascinating they take up a lot of time just observing them. :D

What is Kombucha?
Something that won't kill you like Mountain Dew will.
The drink I have above taste like Sprite.
Really it does.

This is my new favorite drink.View attachment 1433196

I think I read that you ferment your feed. Have you tried brewing/fermenting your own beverages yet? It seems to be a big thing these days whether it's teas or beer or something else... I had a Russian roommate for a spell and he would ferment what can best be described as Russian soda of some sort in a gallon jug under the sink. It was ok, but didn't seem worth the effort to me.

In other news Miss Sunshine started eating again, begs for food even. She clearly feels better and is outside trying to catch a prairie dog as I type.

I know you are in the high desert. I still scream, "where are your trees!" Just doesn't look right to me.

We made a trip to west Texas this year. Scrub all over. Nary a tree. That is just not right in my little head.

We don't have a single tree on our property and it pains me. The forest and the mountains are only about 2 miles away. We have planted about 10 small pine trees this summer. It's been close to a month I think. They are all still alive. A few look like they won't survive, a few have new growth on them and look really good. Fingers crossed some roots will take and we'll have some trees.
