➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

last time I tried to explain a roux and trinity it was like deer in the headlights. Or should I say how to properly make a roux
I wonder is @adrikeen could figure it out.

I just LOL'd! :lau
I have had Louisiana gumbo...my old boss was from there and cooked up a batch for us at work....:drool. I know I could not replicate it and roux who? what?

Chef texted from the road that he totally knows what roux is and can make it "no problem" "gumbo, I can do that in my sleep". Please explain to me then why he's not made (even a form of) gumbo in the 12 years we have been married....hmmm??? :rant

So, thinking about a name change since I can now...should I do Adrienne, Adrienne H. (which would make Chef happy, doesn't understand why I used maiden name), or something more funny like the Rocky version, "Yo! Adrienne!". That has plagued me since the 70's (but now the younger generation hasn't a clue! ha!)

Those of you in the South will probably laugh at me...but...it's 6 p.m. here and still so hot I can fry an egg on the deck....and the deck is wood! :barnie

Oooh...fireworks startin' already, and it's not even dusk yet....chickens are going to freak out.

We had to pick up a few. Not these big monster things.

In years past I would respond with ….they were illegal in the Delmarva area (PA too) until recently. Now the laws have been lifted for 4th of July and New Years. So...went to Costco to get some bulk items and they had those packs! Yours are much more $$$ though. I think they were like $300 up here. (so at the time I was like ) :gig

just because he can make it, doesn't mean he likes it
