We don't have those here. We have Fred Meyer, Albertsons, Walmart (which is incredibly clean, new and unlike any other Walmarts on the planet)

I don't think I can even name all the different grocery stores within ten miles of me.
There are probably at least 15 different brand names and over 100 stores.

Thank you - Me too! He's disappeared a couple times (when I lived in Olympia), then the pound calls. But not round these parts. Cat disappears, they're not coming back.

I studiously locked my cat up for July 4th. Next day, my dad decided to go shooting on the property without warning me.
Cat bolts and then a thunderstorm rolls in.
I thought for sure she was a goner, when cats stray too far around here they get picked off by coyotes.

Thankfully she came to her senses and showed up later that night dry as a bone. I have a feeling she was holed up in a car engine, laughing at my frantic calling and cat noises.

My old barn cat, Lily, was like that. She was always smarter than the boy cats and lived 18 long years. Never came when she was called. I know they just ignore us when we are out looking! Turds.

My cat got himself stuck in a locked abandoned van for 3 days straight.
We only saw him because he was sitting on the dash as we happened to be leaving our driveway.
