I get the new 3 way bulb in and the ghetto lamp apparently has only on and off. I take the bulb to a real lamp and it works fine. Back to ghetto lamp. Nope it's not the bulb. It's the lamp. The knob doesn't turn. I might have noticed this problem earlier if I had been turning it on and off instead of just moving it.
I find another lamp that I can macgyver but I haven't made it that far yet. I need to figure out how to suspend the light in my hole.

Yes! You can regulate the temperature by raising and lowering the bulb.

Well, it depends on what watt bulb you are using right now.
is it higher than one of these? a 25, 40, 60, 75 watt.

Lately, we have been purchasing "Halogen Bulbs". They are in the form of the traditional incandescent shape and size, but seem to put off a little more heat.

We can start a 'pool'? I'll say 8 more days til pip.

Boy am I regretting clicking...regretting because I had to read through the entire thread. I left for an hour and there were like 8 more pages! This thread is hilarious and has me hooked. I am looking forward to ducklings (and puppies) and finding out how this adventure ends. Seriously too funny.
