I just want to go on record saying I will NOT be taking one of the mythical puppies, should they ever materialize. I live vicariously through others' puppies and am content with 2 adult dogs. Plus the 13 year old wouldn't much tolerate a pup and the rescue mutt has always been a bit of a handful.

Don't count your puppies before they hatch! Yes, I know that one too well. An acquaintance watch an owl carry off a puppy while the momma dog was trying to move her litter. The new spot was NOT good. Momma dog was very upset. The owl wound up with 3 before she could intervene. So sad.

The jalapeno and banana peppers don't like this cold spell. They've barely started their secondary leaves.

So I work with a Canadian. He plays that hockey stuff in an indoor arena in HOUSTON (I know, right!?!). He comes in with not just a black eye, but a bruise from his hairline to below his cheek bone. OUCH!!

I asked. He said guess. I said, "jealous husband?". He said, "puck, no".

I hope so! If they survived all the shipping and room temperature storage, they have to be pretty hardy.

The ducks survived all that shipping and room storage just fine...I think.
The chicken balut eggs have to be just as strong...don't you think?
