I have seen this and have a few different light fixtures that would work. I may give it a go next year. The ducks play in their water so much there's usually a hole on the ice (or they break a hole in the ice).
No candle I for got it. Delivered on Thursdays. Woot.
I don't even know. I think 4How many did you get? A dozen?
FreshAnd they are fresh right? Not pre boiled?
I have no clue how to handle the water issue with our ducks this coming winter. (Next winter? Whatever) just trying to make it through spring and summer with no snake or hawk issues. One season at a time... Lolz
Wait I didn't ask if fresh. I'm assuming fresh like my duck ones
I believe it got into the 16 range on our coldest nights.... If memory serves me right....it doesn't always.... This was our first winter doing it, but it seemed to do the job well. It also may depend on winter weather proofing coops? Ours are fairly open so we cover tops and sides with that insulated heavy plastic leaving ventilation footage at the top...How cold does it get where you are? Wondering if this would work here
