➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I read about 40 pages but have a baby so gave up, I don't know if it was mentioned by another Vietnamese BYC'er but the salted eggs and century old eggs (called Bac Thao, Dong Que might be the supplier), should be eaten with porridge otherwise they taste pretty gross in my opinion lol.

Thanks for spelling it for him... He might have heard Kinki not Kiki...
He said that's and unusual name!!! lol hahahahaa :lau:gig:lau
Yeah, I am home catching up... lol Hilarious...
You can't hear but he had said K i k o...I was correcting him.

oops meant to write they are called trung bac thao..someone said they were rotten, I don't know if they are or not but they are chemically made to look like that, not just left to rot
Thank you!
I bought some salted eggs but haven't opened them yet.

No problem.. I think the salted eggs are trung vit muoi..those go well with white porridge..if you decide to try century egg one day it’s usually eaten with pork porridge. I hatched a few batches of balut when I lived in California but sold them as ducklings. They were in incubators at the store and usually about 80% hatched. I think they were pekin. I felt bad for the eggs but realized I couldn’t save them all and was adding to the demand of them although not by much as they usually had about 100 a week. Plus I moved to Canada.
