➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I know how u feel I can't spell to save my life at times lol don't help tho I'm not that educated

Some of the smartest people I know aren't "educated". Self taught. School of hard knocks. Call it what you will. They know their subject matter very well.

Then there are the new graduates... World meet new graduate. New graduate you are about to learn that you know nothing. Let the games begin!

So next time someone calls you an "adult" make sure they are saying "an adult" and not "a dolt". Got to be alert in this world.

The world needs more lerts. A lot more lerts.

I'm doing balut duck eggs again...just waiting on The Man to text me when the new shipment arrives. I'm just looking for quail eggs...seeing what is available.
Maybe you should just plan to be there early Thursday...lurking in the parking lot waiting for the delivery truck.
The risk bator seems soild the temp on all of the thermometers seem only off by 1. Some odd c but the bator humidity thing and the one inside the bator seem quit close in humidity % so how do u quickly calibrate the hydrometer thingy? And yes I know humidity is high trying to reduce it lol.
You might research "dry" hatch.

You hatch for your own flock/to keep or do you sell chicks too?
Yes, I hatch for my own flock and freezer. I have sold some older pullets to neighbors as replacement layers. The Columbian Wyandotte variety is a Heritage breed that is making a comeback as a meat and egg breed. I hatch so many to meet the standard and grow out the culls for the freezer.

I don't know the Columbians, but I do have a Gold Laced.
