➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Well, here's hoping! Bless us, St. Brigid.

Then, I'll have to get her to adopt day olds from the feed store when they arrive. I've learned so much here. I'll have to redo the coop. The little ones can't get into the nesting boxes.

If only, today was a WILD day. Not in a good way, but I've lived so far.
Hey...I stopped by a new to me feed store over in Pasadena last week...they had such a variety of day olds.
ALL kinds of breeds.
I was surprised to see so many.
My normal feed store likes to stock "Americans."

Our Lady of Prompt Succor hasten to help RUNuts.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor really works well on small and large problems. Once when DD was in 2nd grade we were stuck in traffic and the Girls Scout store was closing in 5 min. We called on her and we made it to the store before it closed. We were still fairly far away at the time, but it worked!! LOL So does everyone realize we are Catholic by now. :lau

Borzoi...
We've been asked if they are goats, cats, afghans, salukis, pharaoh hounds, greyhounds, "some type of dog" and a whole host of borderline insulting suggestions ... Also had people pull over to confirm it is a real, life Borzoi and to pet them. Yep, dog person who was VERY excited.
Sight hounds the original launch and forget weapon.

Biggest problem, when they are in targeting mode, they really don't care where they are and get lost.
Same with our Rhodesian Ridgeback that are both a sight and scent hound.

Try adding a ramp for the little ones.

I am all for a DIY bator...I guess I phrased that wrong.

Please build your own bator.
Do not try to figure out how to build a bator after you get eggs.

This is kinda like buying chicks then trying to build a brooder or even worse the coop...plain dumb.
Me me me! I did this!

My mom: i decided to get chickens again

Me: yes! Only you should get baby chicks- we will give them to the kids for Easter and raise them until they're old enough to live in your coop!

48 hours later, i have 6 chicks and I'm building a newbie brooder. With zero experience with chickens. 4 weeks later, my dumb ass is doing it again with 14 new chicks.

I never learn.

@Glitterchicks -Welcome to the Asylum!

One of these, is not like others. Can you spot it?
