➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I peed. Poor ole Grampy Nutty used a couch!!!! Hilarious.

Now I'm going to insist the. Mex let me bring home an old on the side of the road couch so I can take it apart to see what I can turn it in to. :celebrate

I have a couch coop too!!!! :highfive: My dad and dh build our coop out of all sorts of odds and ends including an old couch that belonged to my parents. It had a nice wood frame. I am useless at construction so I was in charge of removing upholstery and staples :D

I'm building 4 coops out of 2 livestock shelters. They're costing a small fortune to build. Having to use a lot of 2x4s to support the weight of snow. Got 2 coops done so far.

I love homemade built cheaply stuff. It's so much better, imo, than store bought.
Is that you on the right?

Rustic quail cage that is 98.7 percent done.
Price...maybe 20 dollars worth of screws and washers and a little roll of HW cloth. The wood is priceless. The air conditioning drip pan roof is the icing on this cake.View attachment 1401203
Very impressive. Looks nicer than my thrown together broody cages. (but they work and the hens are happy and safe)

My next ghetto build I am going to try to focus on using a measuring tape and using woods that are not bent.
I eyeball everything and most pieces are pretty close.
I think the bent and curved older woods make things not as nice as they could be but over all I still love it and I built it all by myself.
Well the Mini did help some.

The Mini is not fun to work with on stuff like this with.
He and I might have argued a lot!
:barnie

Me...hold the drill straight and stop letting go of the button.
Him...I am! Even though he wasn't holding it straight.
Me...Are you done yet? Can I please have the drill back.
Him...Can I try one more time?

I love the Mini, and I don't even know him. So sweet to want to "help" you and so independent! You should be really proud! :love
