➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

We picked up the Flemish giant last night. When we met the lady we got her from, we met at a boat landing / tackle place, some guy was walking by and did a triple take. Was like "that is the biggest rabbit I've ever seen in my life", even asked to take a pic of it while I was holding her lol. The lady was trying hard not to cry, could see she loved the bunny (even her kid said "mommy, you're going to miss her!"), has had her since 8 weeks and she is 2 now, but said she has to be able to let things go if she wants to make her income from her farm. Said she tried to breed her twice with proven bucks without any luck except for creating nests for babies that never come. Fiance wants her as a pet for the most part, but we may try and breed her 1 time just to see (mama bunny was supposedly infertile, and she's popped 15 out). Of course phone was dead yesterday afternoon and I left my charger at work, so no pictures of her on my phone yet. Fiance's mom was like :th when she saw how big it was lol

For your Wednesday morning cute factor, we do have a pic of Jersey Wooly bunny beans:

I think I would be tempted to kiss these little things.

So I'm a wreck because Miss Sunshine, my 13 year old golden retriever could not walk and would not eat last night. As in really uncoordinated, cannot control legs, stumbling and falling :hit. I was convinced she would not live through the night, but is marginally improved this morning.

And then I went to check on the chickens and found Dela like this...

She has been there since at least 8:00 last night. :barnie Of course this is a month after I gave up on hatching my own eggs and bought the 2 ducklings.

Ok, help, how do I steal the eggs from under Dela? The ones that are under her now are NOT fertile. I do not have a rooster. Do I just put my garden gloves on and hope the attack isn't too bad?
That's what I do. I wear gloves and use one hand to block her head and the other to take the eggs.

I'm going to try soon. I'm going to do all the feed and water and water the garden and stuff first. I never had a broody chicken! I'm a little afraid of her! Under normal circumstances she is extremely docile though, but none of my birds are used to being handled much.

It is hard not to sometimes!
Other mama is down to 2 bunny beans, :fl that they make it. They seem to be doing pretty good still, and their fur is coming in. The black one has an adorable white racing stripe on his head.

Picked up emu chick, it's zoomies are hilarious. Like a baby velociraptor  Hard to get good pictures with it zipping all over the place.

And this picture, which is kinda hard to see with how dark it was, just because it's a pullet roosting on a rooster roosting on a piece of plywood.
