It is hard not to sometimes!
Other mama is down to 2 bunny beans, that they make it. They seem to be doing pretty good still, and their fur is coming in. The black one has an adorable white racing stripe on his head.

Picked up emu chick, it's zoomies are hilarious. Like a baby velociraptor Hard to get good pictures with it zipping all over the place.

Awe! For some reason I thought you were getting emu eggs. Do you know if it's a boy or girl? Name?

So I'm a wreck because Miss Sunshine, my 13 year old golden retriever could not walk and would not eat last night. As in really uncoordinated, cannot control legs, stumbling and falling . I was convinced she would not live through the night, but is marginally improved this morning.

And then I went to check on the chickens and found Dela like this...

She has been there since at least 8:00 last night. Of course this is a month after I gave up on hatching my own eggs and bought the 2 ducklings.

So I'm a wreck because Miss Sunshine, my 13 year old golden retriever could not walk and would not eat last night. As in really uncoordinated, cannot control legs, stumbling and falling . I was convinced she would not live through the night, but is marginally improved this morning.

Look for ticks by the spine ,head lots of people have had similar issue and it was tick paralyzes

Our friend incubated this emu egg, and right now her emu pair is sitting on quite a few more that she is hoping they will hatch out themselves. We will end up getting another from her eventually. The adult female emu she has actually belonged to my fiance a few years ago - he sold her the emu when he moved in with someone else at the time. Not sure on names yet - told him we needed a dinosaur-type name since its like a little velociraptor. Apparently the only way to tell sex on an emu (per our friend, we asked her yesterday & I haven't researched it yet if there are other ways) is to send in for a DNA/blood test, or wait until its mature enough to breed. They thought the female emu was a male for a couple years ... til she laid an egg a few months ago!

Ticks are kinda freaking me out this year. My dogs are outside A LOT more now that they're at the farm and can be in a big pen made of t-posts & cow panels while I'm gone to get their Shepherd energy out (pen is bigger than my old residential backyard!) and I've found ticks on Ruger's ear and Ember's shoulder in the last week Ruger has a lyme vaccine, going to get Emmy one next month when she goes in, and fiance has some good flea/tick collars that have kept them off his dogs well.

We don't have ticks here, but I found a few when we were camping at lower elevation a week or two ago... I will hunt for hitchhikers that may have made it home with us.

Oh my gosh, Mr. Ruger just caught a prairie dog again,but it got away so now we are waiting by the hole.
