Speaking of complaining, I liked the rain. We needed it. How soon those little saber toothed mosquitos emerged. I would like to complain about the mosquitos. The coop was full.

Time to get the permethrin spray out and knock them back a bit. Or wind, wind will keep them down.

On a brighter note, Houston got 10" of rain and more this afternoon! oh, the joy.

Send us your rain! Colorado is burning to the ground. The fire by my house is now at 11,000 acres and growing. There are 2 others burning at nearly 50,000 acres and I believe a total of 10 wildfires currently burning without containment. Relative humidity has been in the single digits. Actually the fact that you got that much rain is a good sign because this time of year our moisture comes from the gulf so hopefully it will be here soon.

Your monies going up in smoke Did you see a "tank" one? When we were kids (years ago) there was a tank, you lite it and it would shoot our sparks. There was a "car" one too, it did "go" but has no sense of direction ... The flatter the surface the better.

My kids were once so amused by the chicken that shoots spark "eggs" from its backside that the guy running the stand dumped the rest of the bin of those in their bag and told them to enjoy.

I find it more than a bit amusing that people are celebrating America with explosives invented, designed, and made in China.
