Very true! What have I learned? It pays to be paranoid and investigate any weird noises as soon as possible!

On another note, have you tried growing garlic in South Park?

I have some garlic and potatoes growing now. There is lots of growth above ground, so I'm hopeful that means there's something good growing underground (this is my first time growing these things). It's so hard not to dig back some dirt and take a peek!

Don't worry! I was totally in the same position as you. Because my humidity was fluctuating so much but I didn't want to accidentally shrink wrap the baby so that kept me from opening the incubator. It'll be alright!
