Did you eat any of the quail eggs? You should be able to tell if they are fertilized just like chicken eggs. Quail are fun to hatch, once they start they all hatch like popcorn and are so tiny!

I cooked two.
I ended up throwing the rest away after I found them in the back of the fridge a few weeks later.

I am going to go tomorrow morning and (peek at the duck eggs) buy some quail eggs just to see if they are fertile/will develop.
