➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I have dark furniture in my bedroom and I really want to chalk paint it a light cream color.
I really want to do it but am afraid it will come out too ghetto looking.

I chalk painted this old record console & hollowed it out to hide all my kids games in. It may not be your thing but just showing you so you could get the idea. Chalk paint covers extremely well if you've never used it before you'll be amazed how little it takes. I'm personally very happy with how mine turned out but I like the funky retro vibe it gives and I like pops of weird colors hence the celery green.

They play dirty in the world of any animal showing, to be honest. It’s a problem with showing dogs, cattle, even rats.
It is very easy to loose sight of the animal and just see ribbons and dollar signs.

You are not exaggerating.
Some people are just ignorant, the kind that drags their month old puppy all over petsmart and dog parks and is shattered when it gets parvo and dies.
Personally I believe, at least to some extent, every breeder knows it’s selfish to bring sick animals to a show and a good amount will do it anyway.

This makes me sick! As much as I wanted to show Wasabi off to everyone, I avoided anywhere people brought their dogs. And if I had to take him somewhere, his feet never touched the ground. Parvo is such a sad disease and easily prevented.

Alien hands and potato people. YUK.

I made it to an episode where they were up in space watching the sun blow up or something.
There was a thing...it was a sheet of skin talking.
What tha?
Apparently i'm watching dr. Who after I finish Lost in Space.
No show hole for me!

I feel like it should be the other way around. The first few episodes should always be the best. That way you hook your viewers and get them invested in the characters. I quit reading books if I can't enjoy them. If the first ten chapters/episodes are garbage I'm not going to sit through them just to get to the "good" ones.

I totally agree about books. If I am quarter of the way or more and not into it, then I will quit. But books are written and edited as a whole and by a single person. Pilot episodes do not always reflect the final direction of the show. Also, series like Doctor Who alternate between several writers. So some episodes may be more to your taste than others. I have a couple series that I now like very much, but that had really weak beginnings or the occasional terrible episode. So with television series, I try to stick with it a bit longer than I would for a book or movie, to see if it gets better once the actors and writers hit their stride.

I've never worried about my dogs as long as they were vaccinated. Parvo is pretty rampant here too. A lot of people don't vaccinate or isolate their pups when young and there are so many strays in the next town over. It's so sad. We used to see it all the time at the vet clinics I worked at. One of them had treating it down to a t though. We actually had a pretty high recovery rate there.
