Chicklet update! To cheer everyone up on this scorching day.

I love the little welsummer.. she’s not insanely friendly like the barred rocks (they are the tiniest and bravest, they rush us and jump on our arms to get out— the Ginger adores them) but she’s so calm and collected.

Most of them are panting but they weren’t before I stirred them up with a new stick/grass clump to mess with. We gave ice water after this and we’re checking often for lethargy/holding wings out.

I know, right? I miss them as tiny cotton balls already!

We are 99% sure the chipmunk EE is a lil roo. Even the Ginger said “there’s no way that’s a girl” after watching it square up to the other EE and strut around afterwards.
Both of them are still very unfriendly and hang at the back together while the other 6 are happy to mob me up front. I hope they grow out of it.. they’re also both HUGE and I’m seriously bracing for both to be male.

Ours are the smallest now, they were the biggest. We are still holding onto the ridiculous hope that our roo magically turns into a pullet

The compressor on my ac just went out.
I'm turning into a real life beast this second.

Hmmm, perhaps if there was some snow or ice around, you might keep your original form. Maybe if you lived, say, NORTH just a ways, you wouldn't actually turn into a beast when the AC went out for A SINGLE HOUR!

Mex said it's either the compressor or compacitor.

He says it's at least 14 yrs old. He just messed with it...didn't do anything special and it came back on on it's own. He is going shopping now.

If it came back on on it's own more likely than not the capacitor. Hope so it's a pretty simple fix

The capacitor stores electricity to jump start so to speak the compressor. It takes alot of energy to get the compressor running once it's running it's like cruise control

I can't. The have real eggs coming. I can't do a staggered hatch yet.

Staggered hatches are easy. I had eggs hatching every week for a month, and it went fine.

Never cuddle baby roos, no matter how cute they are. Just like they start to dominate mom when they mature, they will attempt to dominate you as well. I do have a recipe for Coq co vin
