➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yep! Just a big ugly leg nipple. Fingers crossed tonight isn’t a repeat of last night (or we actually will be going to the ER). Tylenol is keeping the fever down, I really think it’s a waiting game now..
@Tesumph Ibuprofen will keep swelling and fever down, and is less hard on your liver, especially if you are taking it around the clock. Unless your Doc has a reason that he wants you to only take Tylenol.

I love their personalities too, so spunky haha. Honestly, I don’t see us ever owning a purebred again.. unless theres a very pretty German Shepherd in a shelter that the Ginger falls for.
Even my golden has bad hip and allergy issues, I’m really not a fan.
Blech!!! Booh to German Shepherds! My dad is just all over them and out of all five, ONE has been healthy and mentally sound. These were all German or Czech lineage dogs.
First pup was beautiful. She couldn't swallow properly. Had to be put down. Second one was a lanky girl, sweet as can be. Hips went bad at six months, had to be put down. Third was a German import, physically perfect. MENTAL. Attacked our goats, nearly killed them, tore the garbage apart, gnashed her teeth at us kids. I hated her. She was awful and vicious. After the second goat attack, put her down. Fourth one, gorgeous solid black male, very sound. Utterly humorless and couldn't care less about anyone but my dad. Wouldn't play with other dogs, constantly harassed our other golden we had, murdered cats (got mine and broke her leg and she nearly starved in the woods). He lived fourteen years. In his later life, he was alright. Fifth one. Beautiful, playful, obedient. FINALLY!
I also can't do English Bulldogs. Blech. I've met too many awful, poorly behaved, aggressive and inbred ones. Only a handful that don't look like they're going to fall over dead at any second. Sorry, @littleprairieheartsfarm! Your big guy is gorgeous though :love

My mom is allergic to ibuprofen so I grew up in a Tylenol household haha. But we do alternate, it just works a little better on me than advil for some reason.

That's what happened to my brother's English bulldog. It didn't pop out but he got cherry eye!View attachment 1480404
Winston, pre cherry eye
This fellow is a nice looking English! I hate the white ones (anything with pink around the eyes totally grosses me out for some reason)... Shallow, yes.

All 3 of our dogs and all of our cats are rescues. A couple of them are foster failures because we just couldn't let them go. They end up being the best companions ever. I know that our big guy would have ended up being put down. He would bulldoze through everything out of fear and destroyed our house several times. After a couple of years he ended up being the best dog on the planet. I love hearing about other people who are the same way.:love
I fear fostering... I would probably end up with a hoarding situation...

My in-laws have a German imported shepherd too. The Ginger grew up with them and is obsessed (I think my MIL used to show them?). I guess none of their’s were neurotic.
I couldn’t care less about the breed, I just want a good natured dog and you can’t always get that from a random pick of a breeder’s litter. You definitely can if you foster to adopt, though!
All the ranch dogs are sweethearts, they wouldn’t allow killers there.

What is this lovely creature???
This is the infamous bed-dwelling Sweetie Monster! Sweetie is a rescue pupper DH and I adopted 8 years ago. Not really sure what kind of mix she is. Might have some pit ancestry. The coat pattern is more like a heeler though. What we do know is that she is a precious sweetheart and we loves her :love She has a few anxiety issues and likes take refuge in our bed. We don’t mind.
