➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yes ma’am. :)
:yesss: You're only about 30 min away from me! I'll have to contact you about getting eggs later. I've always wanted to try duck eggs but I was too scared of getting accidental Balut from the Asian supermarkets. I also never know just how long the eggs were sitting out since they don't come in cartons.

I spy a beak working in an external pip.

I think what you see is it's right wing, It's beak will be tuck under the wing just barely below that closer to the dark line, that's where the air cell starts. It's moving it's wing every time it pecks at the shell, it's beak isn't that big! or at least I hope not! :lau

I can't wait to see if this works for you. I don't think I have ever seen someone egg a broody on like this.

Well, mine sometimes go broody if I forget to collect the eggs for a while and a lot collect in the boxes so I'm hoping this will work similar lol but they are molting so we will see. I had lost my favorite hen and super dependable broody last fall :( she went broody like 5 times last year lol

Ignore hubby taking a nap and the mess. It's not set up the way I want yet but at least it's here.
It's a 100% down feather FRAME. Wood only at the base. It's basically a giant pillow! All cushions come off and can be placed different ways and the kids can't hurt themselves on it, ever. I love it.
I'd never pay even a fraction of the retail price (even if I COULD) but we needed new furniture and come on, it's Restoration Hardware for the cost of what they charge for a faucet!
