Last time I brought my dog to the vet for feeling a little under the weather I thought turned out to be pyometra to the tune of 4000.00. Talk about shock

That’s scary! We have to be careful with our girl Bulldog because of this same reason, she has taken a liking to false pregnancy so it causes too much change in the uterus enhancing the pyometra chances.

Does the vet think she'll fully recover?

Unfortunately there isn’t much we can do but watch her. She is moving around fine now but he said it could happen again.

Glad the blood work is normal, that must be some relief.

And her being a pit she didn't show like she was in pain only thing that I noticed was she wasn't as lively as she usually was. And started trying to use the bathroom alot without actually do8ng so that's what got me concerned

That sucks, they tend to sneak up on you huh?
I had a cat almost die because of it, my vet said it was the youngest cat she’d seen with pyometra and one of the biggest pus-filled uterus she’s taken out.

In chicken related news, our incubator is here! I got the go ahead to put in a double yolker and at least one other egg. I’m going to set only Brahma eggs this time so let’s see how this goes!
