➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I just had the last chick of the season hatch on my birthday :celebrate
It's from my favourite roo, that I'm sadly going to have to cull I think.
So, I'm wanting a very special name for this little one. I'm looking for suggestions.
Feliz.

funny because my biggest goal in life is to be organized...and I only achieve it in my craft room. I have so much stuff but finding it is a task... I grew up loving art and crafts but never had the supplies...so I told the husband unit I would acquire all needed and if a project hit me I would have what was needed ...it has been great....behind my window will be a doorway to another 300sf of space to my actual sewing room where each machine will have a deadacated space... I have 3 machines soon to be 4, i also added a picture I took of my rooster this morning
.
He is such a good boy, he was 1of 7 from dad that passed of lung issues....his brothers all meet the oven....he is half barred rock half buff braman, huge boy, at least 30 inches tall. Here compared to my Maggie 40 pound blue heeler_basenji mix, oh and my find for the weekend, a boye needle finder, set the arrow on the machine you have and poof.....1890's google tells you what needle to use...so cool, wooden cases hold needles and some still have originals
Please tell me you are close to Houston. I really want to come play in that room.:fl

Here's the video of the house being pulled off of its foundation.
Wow! Is that the basement down below?

I'm dying to know...did you go house shopping to look for a house to buy knowing you were going to move it?

Well I have not spoke of my surgery, after a 14year maintain of 150lb weight loss I went in to have the girls reinflated..so far very happy, not dolly Parton size, I look the same as I did with padded pushup bras, but now naruralish
Painful. I hope you heal fast.:hugs

No, it is not normal, in fact we had to talk to three builders before we found one that had even done pier and beam. Our foundation is probably a smidge over engineered but we didn't want to mess with foundation issues. We did have the house built so we could do it to our specs. We had them come out and do core samples in three different places before the foundation was engineered so we knew what we were dealing with.
I need to find some pics to share. My mom built her house this way. He beam things are huge and deep but her house is raised up because of the flooding. I think she has close to a hundred...like you.

Hey all I have a question.
Sick chick made it through the night but is still not eating on her own.
I do not have a tube for tube feeding but I do have a few syringes.
Would it be safe to liquify some mash as is done for tube feeding and then use a syringe to place drops on the side of her beak to try to get her to eat some?

The only thing I would be worried about would be aspiration. Can you give her some honey to help get her energy up? Or maybe put some honey in the slurry? Adding some flavor will help avoid aspiration.

Huh. I didn't know I could give her honey.
Maybe I will add honey to the slurry and put some in a bottlecap to see if she will eat it on her own.
She seems to have at least some interest in whatever is in a red coke cap.
