They do not recover as easily and often they die.Isn't wet pox a completely different story or do they recover from it just as easily?
Btw, I did stick the tube up my nose.
Pox parties are nothing new*, but generally the reasoning behind that is to let children catch a very curable disease before they’re older (a teen or adult) and it’s harder for the immune system to overcome. We go as far as to loan out birds if I or one of the people in my circle gets it to try and infect the others young ones

Did you see Houston has a real life measle case right now.Pox parties are nothing new*, but generally the reasoning behind that is to let children catch a very curable disease before they’re older (a teen or adult) and it’s harder for the immune system to overcome.
Is this the same reasoning behind letting a large group of birds catch pox all at once? I don’t understand why you would purposely introduce that at all?
*for the record, pox parties are generally organized in this day and age by closeminded anti-vaccinators and are often bordering on illegal. This isn’t the 1800’s, no one’s child should be dying from measles with modern medicine available.
it's just what we so. There's no underlying cult like atmosphere about it lol. It's all good what works for some may not for all. Kind of like me not wanting to have mereks in my flock, it's a ok for othersPox parties are nothing new*, but generally the reasoning behind that is to let children catch a very curable disease before they’re older (a teen or adult) and it’s harder for the immune system to overcome.
