➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Pox parties are nothing new*, but generally the reasoning behind that is to let children catch a very curable disease before they’re older (a teen or adult) and it’s harder for the immune system to overcome.
Is this the same reasoning behind letting a large group of birds catch pox all at once? I don’t understand why you would purposely introduce that at all?

*for the record, pox parties are generally organized in this day and age by closeminded anti-vaccinators and are often bordering on illegal. This isn’t the 1800’s, no one’s child should be dying from measles with modern medicine available.

Preach sista! (Referring to the measles comment)

it's just what we so. There's no underlying cult like atmosphere about it lol. It's all good what works for some may not for all. Kind of like me not wanting to have mereks in my flock, it's a ok for others
Oh yea, I’m not trying to imply you have a cult like mentality. I just have strong opinions on the anti-vax movement and similar.

I’m genuinely asking what the benefits of introducing dry pox like that is. Is it just inevitable where you live and it’s easier to control if they all catch it at the same time?

This is a great pox link"

This hen's warts were different than the others as they appear to have pus in them and they were not drying out, so off they came.

Before removal.

Inside of mouth before pus removal.

Pus removed from roof of mouth.

After removal of scabs/growths and application of iodine

This side still needs more work.

After removal of pus/plaque and application of iodine.

De-worming orally with Safeguard liquid (fenbendazole 10%)

Various pics of scabs and pus.

Ermergersh!!!! So disgusting!

yeah, she was bad.

I just heard about it a little while ago. Is the kid in really bad shape?
He’s was in the ICU, I’m not sure how he is now.

A nurse posted his positive test results on a social media anti-vax page and was fired for it. I don’t think the boy was vaccinated.
She also commented (before being fired) that she “seriously considered swabbing his mouth to take home” to infect her own son.
Is this seriously 2018? smfh.

yes I live in mosquito infested swamp and I do it to get it over with. To me it's better for the young ones to get it and get it over with so we/they don't have to worry about it. It is inevitable round deez parts

I've never had it. The few people I do know that are near me have never had it either. I wonder if it is because the city sprays for mosquitos?
