How is the Marek's test done? Is it a blood sample or do they only test the dead birds? If she seems to be doing better, is it still possible to get the test done so you know for sure?

There is a blood test...but I think there are some questions/concerns about it's reliability??? I think necropsy is more definitive.

ETA: the necropsy looks for tumors.

Ok thanks. This is what she said she's doing now. I was thinking permethrin worked and told her I'd find out. She's on BYC on another thread and just mentioned her bird having them.
