And if what she has is not Marek's it's $20 down the drain.Live testing is at least $20 cheaper
I mean, yes - wear a leotard. And a tutu.
This is an excellent idea! Some universities will waive the fees if you ask nicely. That is such a tough situation.I wonder if you could write to a local university, explain your situation, and see if anyone there -- even if it is just students -- would do a necropsy for free. Maybe the students need practice?
x2Given all the problems you have had with bird deaths, I would prioritize solving this mystery before getting any new eggs or chickens. Maybe what you save in no new feed costs, could be put in a medical emergency/necropsy fund.
I think I will just pay the necropsy price. You are right, I should set money aside for these things.
I have those eggs due to hatch on the 11th which are not mine so that is something that I can't do much about.
I could have a friend care for the chicks until spring who has no birds of her own. They are bantams so might not be too much of an issue for 3 or 4 months.
I'll be there if my internet is up!Get ready guys....game on.
Tomorrow.

I don’t have a kittyCan you "build" a smaller room inside the room you are currently working in? That way the dehumidifier has a smaller space to work with? Or get a second dehumidifier? Check all your shoeboxes for silica packets to use. Hadn't heard the part about the kitty litter, might be worth a shot.
