➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

About 5.00 an ounce and an ounce is alot since a starting dose is about a gram or equivalent to 1/2 teaspoon. It works on humans I do know that

So about 28 doses for 5.00

Wow that's cheao. Definitely way cheaper than what I bought :/ though of course I got it for immune boost not pain but still. Where do you get it?

Lindi passed this morning.
She is being chilled to be sent out for a necropsy. Might be hard because of the holiday.
Sorry for your loss. :hugs
If you send her out Tuesday morning she should be fine. Use today and tomorrow wisely and get the packing supplies you need ready. First thing Tuesday call the lab and ask how they want you to ship her. Also ask if you can use their FedEx account number because that will save on shipping.

What you need to do, if you haven't already done so, is put your bird in your refrigerator, NOT the freezer! Then you need to find a box, line it with styrofoam (I use the 4'x8'x1" stuff from Home Depot. You can also get smaller pieces at an art store like Michael's but is way more expensive. Click here to see foam option. You'll also need at least one ice pack. Here are some pictures that I took of the last bird that I sent:

Box lined with foam on four sides and bottom. Seams of foam taped sealed.

Box, sides, bottom, and top.

Frozen ice pack in a ziplock baggie.

Brown paper on top of ice pack.

Hen in ziplock baggie on top of brown paper.

Lid on top of brown paper.

Inside the box you should also include a submission form in a ziplock baggie. Do not tell anyone at FedEx that you're shipping a dead animal... that seems to really worry them. Just make sure that nothing will leak.
