@KDOGG331 - I think it sounds like you're on the right track. Growing your own veggies is a great start! It's fun to experiment with things like that. You get to know your area and grow what does well there. Having fresh eggs from your own birds is awesome too. Starting with things like that can really make a difference in your outlook on food in general.
Also, if you like root beer floats, you should have one once in a while. No reason not to. A Frosty from Wendy's? Dip your fries in it! Do it every now and then if you want. Just don't do it all the time. Cutting out treats entirely is not only lame, it's not a real solution.
