Ursuline Chick
Rest in Peace 1957-2024
Don't know if it was the storm or my hurricane PTSD, but they were crowing their heads off Tuesday morning. Had hardly crowed at all before. DH and I had to go to work, so couldn't stay outside and try to keep them calm and was afraid a**wipe neighbor would report us while we were at work and DD would have to deal with it alone. Last time she reported me it was Good Friday (years ago), I thought that was a "nice" touch and spoke volumes for what kind of person she is. Sadly it was easier to cull them than to leave DD to deal with the problem. I have teased about them making good chicken and dumplings, but I am not sure I could eat it. They were the best 3 of the 6 cockerels and I was still hoping to rehome them. At least they had a nice if short life.Oh no I missed this post.
I am sorry.
