Hi all. I sure have missed a lot being gone (from the website, not vacation or anything-I wish tho!) for the last week. Have been nursing a sick duck and just life stuff. My sweet duck is a survivor tho! She is doing great now. And a few of my pullets have started laying regularly now. We got a double yoker the day before yesterday. I told my DH that is what it was and he was all, "oh noooo. I doubt that. It's just actually a normal size" (instead of the little ones that we've been getting. I told him that I bet it was a double yoker. I cracked it open today and made us some scrambled eggs and said, "ha! booyah! told you so!".

He was like, "oh... you were right." Hee hee. And I got some new fluffies today. Had the impulse yesterday when we were at Tractor Supply. Ended up going back today and grabbed 4 chicks.

Well, 2 of them are supposed to be Americana.

We all know that means Easter Egger, which is ok by me because that is what we wanted. And I saw this crested topped chick and all I could think of is a Polish. So I had Polish on the brain and grabbed it and didn't bother to look at the feet because, let's be real. I don't know what the heck I am doing. I grabbed a Silkie.

I am almost confident that is what it is. I didn't want a Silkie. But oh well. I wanted one a long time ago so we'll see how s/he does around all of the others. And the last one I grabbed because my hubby said, "that lavender like one is pretty, we should get it." Did I look close at it? Nope.

But it has feathered feet but only 4 toes. After scouring pics of various feathered feet birds I think I may have it pinned down but I am in no way sure. Am open for guesses. Oh, and all of these are straight run so.... SURPRISE to me.
This is what I thought would be an Americana

This is what I was hoping was an Americana as well.

Not sure if you can see it's comb very well or not. I can try and get better pics another time once they get better settled in. If that even makes a dif at this point in time.

This is what I am pretty sure is a Silkie. Feathered black feet with 5 toes.

Look at the fringe on the wing of feathers. Is so neat to me.

This is the one that I am not sure about. That hubby picked out. Is gray/lavender? body (it looks more grayish in this pic tho) with yellowish head. Feathered feet. 4 toes. I thought some kind of Cochin maybe at first but I can't find a pic of any that looked like this little one. I did find a pic of a Porcelain d'Uccle that kind of looks like it tho.

Look at the pic of the chicks that they have on there. I think it may kind of look like this one? I just am not sure. I have looked and looked over Hoovers Hatchery website at their bantams that they offer. They have d'Uccles but listed as Mille Fleur (same thing yes?). I'm just surprised that they'd have a Porcelain one. Thoughts?

Either way... whatever they turn out to be, breed or gender, they sure are cuties!
