➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I like the idea but with flood waters, marker comes off so easily, especially the belly area with the softer skin being exposed. Most dogs won’t readily allow people to see their bellies either. Chickens that won’t work on, and people always put it on horse hooves and that never makes sense to me. It comes off because of the muddy water, and being near horse hooves when they are nervous is a bad idea.

⬇️ Below ⬇️ is what I always reply with:

Cattle tags braided into the manes and tails for horses. Spray paint your number on them.

Dogs...you just have to take with you. There is not any of effective way to protect them. Chickens also. Dog kennels work easily to just load them into and take. If you can’t take all of them, take the strongest and best layers.

The best protection is, and always will be, taking them with you. My family (we are so far inland that we won’t ever be truly affected by a hurricane) has already made a plan on how to take every animal with us. We have friends in Kansas who will put our horses on their land. Family who will house us and our dogs/cat/chickens if we need.

Make a plan ahead of time. Hurricanes aren’t like tornadoes that we see in Kansas, they take time to get there. There are plenty of places that are offering to take people in with all of their animals. Many people with help transport if you need. Don’t do this alone, in the scary times of these natural disasters, everyone is looking or giving help. It is out there, you just have to look.

I’ve tried 5 different times to get this to post, hopefully it works now.

It worked :wee
the marker is if they run off while your trying to get them safe.
the site I put a link to also has the tag in the braided mane
people are posting if they can take animals in too

I wonder if marker on a comb would last?
