Thanks...I didn't pay attention good enough to see which one the middle one belonged to as far as color. It doesn't really matter much but I know for sure that one of those three was crowing.Sure are. I see 6 testicles there although the middle set is not anywhere near as mature as the other two.
I'll remove them now.Once they are cooled down, you can remove them from the water, bag them and place them in the refrigerator.
They will definitely be fine to cook by Sunday. With something as small as quail, they should be fine to cook after 24 hours. I only age turkeys for 3 - 4 days. I have had bunnies that were fine the next day.I'll remove them now.
Man I don't know if I can do this every few months.
I'm going to have to rethink everything after we cook these on Sunday or Monday.
They should be fine to grill by then right?
I usually bag then put in the fridge or freezer without the water time. That's out of necessity, though.Do I leave them in water in the fridge or do I put then I. A zip lock bag?
I think we were all expecting one quick snip.Kiki, get pipe cutters from Home Depot. I can link you to some good ones if you want. They're wicked sharp, not too expensive, and they fit bird necks all the way up to x-large rooster size.
Ew. Yeah, pipe cutters are one squeeze.I think we were all expecting one quick snip.
It took more like three.
