Why You Shouldn't Keep Just One Goose

I personally do not believe in imprinting animals or birds because it removes their ability to understand there is a difference between them and what they were imprinted by. I did not imprint the geese that I raised and never had any problems with them. None of my geese were ever friendly nor would they "attack" any people. They were the best warning system I had. They only alarmed for a legitimate reason and they did it at any time of the day or night.

Is that what that is? WOW. I had no idea. Ah! I looked closer and can read it now.

Kiki - if your avatar has words, they should be big enough that a blind 90 year old can read it across the room. I had to squint and guess. Cute.

I wrote M-G and asked them for a non medicated 22-26% quail food. I need to check Texas Naturals and see what they offer. Local feed store. I'm concerned about feed going bad before the quails eat 50#.
Did they respond yet?
I am liking the Bryant game bird feed for now.

Unacceptable avatar change Kiki! Feel free to use the magic 8 ball for your day to day decisions but we need your flag pic! :)
I changed it back.
I've been busy away from the computer and phone all day. :hit

I may stay busy for the next few weeks.

Nope. I emailed today. I think last time it took them a week to respond. Guess I will go talk to the feed store guy and ask what peoples around here abouts do. I think I will walk down to the neighbors that raises rabbits. Been awhile and he might have quail. I don't remember.

The Texas Naturals is GMO, soy free and expensive. May not be my first choice. :hmm

I got nothing done on the quail box this weekend. Got a bit done. But nothing quail.

I put a pumpkin in the chicken flight cage - ok 3. The hard one they ate the seeds out of. The big multicolored one took the biggest hit. The small white Boer squash hasn't been touched.

The green squash is armored. The rind shatters when hit. The big butcher's knife wasn't fun. I'll pull out the kukri for the next one. Got 2 processed. 5 to the animals. 50-ish to go. :D Called my chicken buddy and he went with a trailer and there are still some sitting in the church yard. Wow.

The dogs ate about 1/8 of 2 of the multicolored ones. The steamed squash skin is gone in the dog yards. Everyone likes it. :)

Bryant was what I used. Seemed to work well.
I'm going to get my third baG tomorrow. I didn't keep track of this second bag good enough. I was using it to mix in with my molting hens regular feed to.
