You’re right, pramoxine (aka pramocaine) is the pain relief ingredient in neosporin+.
For what it’s worth, the topical -caine phobia regarding chickens is largely a “better safe than sorry” kind of thing. Local surgery IS avoided with birds because the risk of lidocaine toxicity is high, but there is little to no scientific research (that I have found) done on topical analgesics being harmful enough to kill when used on small wounds.
I agree with Tess.
You don't have to worry so much about using Neosporin with pain relief stuff in it.
The amount is so small it won't hurt your bird. If you have it use it.
