Mine does! It was always so cute to find her in the box. They like to lay where eggs already are, so she probably saw the fake.

Mine don't lay in boxes either. Heck, I'm lucky if I find all the nests they hide in the field. I found five eggs in the middle of my sage plant once... stinkers.
Consider yourself lucky! Also, congrats on the duck eggs! They are my favorite eggs by far.

My other 2 are laying on the floor on a nest of pine shavings. I’ve started taking a little rake to move shavings around to make sure I don’t miss any... we haven’t eaten any eggs yet, maybe this weekend. I’ve heard good things!
