➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Dogsledding was a blast.
I had a hard time going home without that old blind boy in the last picture. I found out today that they were offering him up for adoption to my husband... right before I had walked into the room.
Talk about a near miss. Grrr.

I’ll be home Saturday. Currently sick in bed (what’s new) waiting for everyone to get back from skiing.
Tes you are so pretty :)
Looks like so much fun!

Speaking of "peep shows"......

I just thought was cute.

I went to clean out the big girls chicken coop this morning. I counted 5 girls outside so I thought to myself, ok 1 girl is in the box already. I walk over there, see the 6th in the doorway. Ok, she's not in the box but just in the coop. I open the door and startle Amber, who was in one of the boxes. She's squatted for me a couple of times but nothing consistent. And here lately, every time I go to clean out the coop, she is coming in, watching what I am doing, checking out the inside of the big coop and looking inside of the nest boxes. I've never seen her go IN one of the nest boxes tho. Until today. I think I am going to have a new layer here within the next couple of weeks maybe? :celebrate Hopefully Priscilla won't be too far behind. Do Orpingtons take a while to start laying? I'm not getting any hints/signs from her at all yet. What is AWESOME about Amber is that she is understanding that that is where she will be going to lay and it's not in their little coop where they are sleeping in. Which is great because I never blocked off the nest box area and have been letting them have the whole area to sleep and move around in. My intentions were to eventually move the 2 girls over to the big girl coop and leave the boys in the small one. We'll see if that works out. :fl
