➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I like the caramel rice cakes. I would never dream of putting HAM on it. Now I have put peanut butter on it before. I can see where the salty & smoky would go well with the sweet & crunchy tho. Just not something I personally would do. I’d eat them as they are. :drool
You are an actual monster.

I have not. I typically start mine under a light in early March. Transfer to greenhouse in May. I grew a really nice German heirloom medium sized tomato last year that did really well. I'll have to find my seed packets to find the variety. Not a lot of seeds and great for freezing. Makes a lovely, rich sauce.
I haven't had much luck with the larger heirloom varieties, even with a greenhouse, so I won't be bothering anymore.

Not me, but they are a cherry tomato. The only cherry tomatoes that I grow are Gold Nugget and Black Cherry. Cherry tomatoes are typically a short time to maturity so can do well in a northern climate.
Golden cherry tomatoes always have a place in my heart. Prolific and sweet. I always end up freezing tons of them. They make wonderful sauce and soup and you're right, perfect for the north.

Today was a good day for egg collecting. We were only getting 4 for one day, then 2-3 the next and repeat pattern. Somewhat regularly. Today we got 6. Including this cute little pullet egg.

I think it might be from Amber! :celebrate She sure has been going in there and checking out the nest boxes and sitting in them. Hell, she even climbed in a box with a chicken already in there this morning. :gig Now I could be wrong on who laid it since I didn’t see but it is my guess. It could be one of the girls that hasn’t been laying just getting back in to the swing of things. But I am going to think it’s Amber for now.

Gotta love cute little pullet eggs! Finding new eggs never gets old. Heck, finding eggs at all never gets old to me!
I have three young ladies living with Nibbler (the bunny) in the greenhouse for the winter. I am so excited for them to start laying. Two are EE and the other is a light Brahma. Hoping for some brown eggs this time, like yours!
