They were stolen by Mex in the middle of the night fair and square.

Free ranging chickens at the horse barn. Apparently they are feral chickens roaming the suburbs of Houston. Getting ready for the zombie apocalypse.

Chickens at the horse barn clean up the spilled grain and eat fly maggots to help keep the fly issue at bay. I think all horses should have chickens.

Feral chickens, huh? We never have anything cool here so many places have feral dogs, cats, chickens, found strays, we don’t have any strays I suppose that’s good but sometimes I would like to see a stray doggie or puppies just once and help/adopt it

And hmmm, good point!!! It’s settled then, if I ever get horses, I will keep chickens near them lol

No. They are wild, probably abandoned or lost chickens that visit the horse barn on occasion. I haven't seen any birds for a while now but they are still visiting. The three eggs were laid up high above my horse's stall so technically these are really my eggs this time.

They were not there, in my hay, the day before so they are freshly laid eggs. Mex did not see any chickens while he was there yesterday.

Ohhhh I see. I thought the barn/farm kept chickens too. But oooohhhh yayyyy!!! So you didn’t steal them this time.

You should build a nest box and put ceramic eggs to lure them back and get a whole collection of feral, anti-zombie chickens.

Aw drats. Well if you put a nest box up high above your horse’s stall, maybe nobody would notice. and what a shame lol everybody should be hatching chickies!!! Although free food is always good too lol

Had to fight a hen over eggs today. Not wanting to hatch any as it is way too cold. She can hold off until spring kicks in.

I just got back from taking my dog Buster to the vet. He needed his distemper and bordetella. He also has a hot spot that I had them look at. It's getting better with the spray that we are using so nothing else is needed and we just keep doing what we are doing. Good news is that he is down 10lbs. He originally started out at 78lbs and the vet wanted him around 65lbs. Next visit saw that we got him down to 73lbs. Then we tweaked his diet a little more and as of today he went from 73lbs down to 63lbs. So he is doing great on his diet. The vet is happy. I am happy. I honestly didn't think he had lost that much. Actually, I didn't think he had lost any at all. I was expecting to get that look from the vet telling me to try harder lol. Yay! I know my poor boy has got to feel better! I am curious if my other 2 dogs weight is down as well. I am hoping so. So now we will monitor. I also had to pick up heart guard and flea and tick stuff. My poor bank account.
