One of my little cockerels, Elvis... I just don't know what I am going to do with him. He just isn't getting a clue. He jumped at the back of my leg again the other day as I was walking out of their area. I whipped around real fast and sent him flying back a ways with my foot. Then chased him all over the place until he was truly running away from me and not just trying to get out of my way. He doesn't do this every time. And today, after I had collected some eggs and cleaned their coops I decided to sit down a spell and just watch them. I have a chair next to their little coop and an "activity center" is next to it. Is just a wooden structure that they can climb on. Anyway, I sat down in the chair and he jumps up on the platform and shuffles his feet at me. Stops shuffling, head bent down and gives me a side eye like, "is it working?" I'm like, no dude, it's not. He's a snot. An adorable snot, but a snot nonetheless. I am hoping he outgrows this. I recognize what he's trying to do. Poor guy wants his own girls is what he wants. I am just not one he is going to get. :gig

As of this time next week... My fluffies will be here! :yaI keep habitually checking my email even tho I know it isn't time for them to be shipped out yet. LOL!

If roosters weren't pretty and I didn't feel like occasionally letting the girls hatch out their own eggs, I'd snick every rooster neck I came across. I've had one sweet rooster, ONE, and a dog killed him. I still miss Marilyn Manson. Ozzie is an inferior replacement.
RIP Marilyn.
